You can search by simply keying-in the NAME of the
business you want.
If you are not sure
of the name of the business, you can enter the TYPE of
business you are looking for (eg, restaurant, hairdresser,
auto repair, doctor, etc). This can also help you widen your
search.
What GOODS are
you looking for? Key in a word (eg, vitamin, hat, coffee,
car, video, computer...etc)
What
SERVICES are you looking for? Key in a word (eg, dental, medical,
dry cleaning, fashion...etc)
Always
use singular words (eg, boat not boats; cake not cakes). Be
careful using words that are part of a longer word (ie, you
might want to find a shop that sells a tap, but this search
will also bring up "tapas bar").
Be flexible with your searching. Some businesses spell their
names oddly. If you key in "Easy …" and the
business you want doesn't appear, try a variation, such as
"Ezy...".
Some business names contain apostrophes, some don't. If a
name doesn't come up, try again with or without the apostrophe
(eg, Smiths, Smith's). Some business names are hyphenated,
some aren't (eg, Fred's Take-Away, Fred's Take Away). Try
both ways. (But also try To-Go.)
