HOW
TO GET THE MOST OUT OF
THIS SITE & HOW TO USE THE INTERNET
CyberBONDI's
3-click site
gives you a quick, accurate way of finding what you want from local
businesses and organisations in the Bondi-Waverley area of Sydney.
The 3-clicks start
at the Plaza (Home) page where
you can by-pass Search and go
straight to browse for you want.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When you get a result or list of results from a click, click on the
underlined business name/s and this takes you to a basic information
list of businesses - and where they are.
Then click on the business of your choice and you see their Free Web
page which contains their contact details, and maybe also payment
details and hours of business. If the business also has its own URL
and Web site, it will be clearly displayed for you to visit.
SIMPLE SEARCH
Or you can still use Search. The
following tips will help you negotiate it successfully.
If you choose to take the Keyword Search
road rather than the easier Plaza/Lobby route, you need
to know how to avoid some of the usual pitfalls of Keyword Search.
Some of these are
- Plural and singular
words. You might key in SOCK and very little comes up. Try SOCKS
and you will get what you want.
- Apostrophes. Some businesses
use apostrophes in their names (eg, Lane's Pharmacy. If you keyed
in LANES without the apostrophe, you need to try it with one. The
converse is also the case. If you key in a business's name with
an apostrophe but it doesn't have one, you need to try it without
an apostrophe.
- Try to be as specific
as possible. Putting in just PUB will bring up the PUBS but also
PUBLISHERS and PUBLIC schools, etc. However, if you click on the
Exact Search box, you will get just PUBS.
- Because we all make
typos, try and key in as little as possible of a business name.
- You can search for GOODS
and SERVICES - eg, PIZZA, HAT. VEGETABLES, CINEMAS, SAXOPHONIST, ORTHODONTIST,
etc
- You can also find types
of payment the businesses take and their business hours.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When you get a result or list of results from a search, click on the
underlined business name/s and this takes you to a basic information
page. If the business also has its own Web site, it will be clearly
displayed for you to click on.
